ELEAGUE season two schedule revealed

Turner’s ELEAGUE CS:GO competition is returning for a second season, with the first round of qualifiers kicking off on September 7th.

While the top eight teams from the first season have already booked a slot in the group stages for season two, the remaining teams that competed first time around will have to play the preliminary rounds to qualify. The prelims are split into EU and NA regions, with four teams from each competition making it to the group stage. 16 teams will be competing in a single elimination tournament in each region. The EU prelims take place on September 7th and 8th, with the NA portion taking place on September 14th and 15th.

Once the teams have been locked in they will be split into four groups of four teams. Each week one group will play at the ELEAGE studios with the top two proceeding to the playoffs. Group A takes place on October 21st and 22nd, Group B follows on November 4th and 5th, Group C is November on 11th and 12th and Group D rounds things out on November 18th and 19th.

Finally the playoffs and grand final will start at the end of November. The quarterfinals will run on November 29th and 30th, followed by the semifinals on December 2nd and the grand final on December 3rd.

We’ve been very pleased with the performance of ELEAGUE and the significant levels of engagement with our content across all platforms in our first season,” said Christina Alejandre, General Manager of ELEAGUE and Vice President of eSports at Turner Sports. In our second season, we’ve enhanced the schedule to make the stakes even higher from a competitive standpoint, while also creating an opportunity for a more open field. We believe this new format will keep our audience engaged with our content from the opening week through the grand finals and be more accommodating to team and player schedules.”
