Brutal Legends rocks on this October

Publisher EA has confirmed that Double Fine Productions’ upcoming Xbox 360 and PS3 outing Brutal Legend will be released in the UK on October 16th.

The action adventure, which stars Jack Black, sees players assuming the role of rock roadie Eddie Riggs who, when knocked unconscious, emerges in a rock-themed alternative universe.

The game is being developed by Tim Schafer, whose work history is littered with critically adored classics such as point and click adventure The Secret of Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango and curious platformer Psychonauts.

Having an official release date is awesome,” Schafer exclaimed. And how cool is it that EA threw down the dough to have the name of an entire month changed to Rocktober?”
