FIFA Online goes live

Following a successful closed beta phase that saw over 20,000 gamers play the game since early February, EA has announced that FIFA Online has entered open beta in the UK.

Joining the launch is a brand new World Cup South Africa mode that allows gamers to compete either against AI or rival players online – and users of FIFA’s Club membership are able to sign up for unlimited access.

Outside of the World Cup goodies players will find 28 officially licensed leagues, 500 clubs and over 15,000 players to choose from

Football fans have helped drive the game’s evolution and development through our testing period and now we are ready to share the game with a much larger audience,” EA Sports FIFA franchise executive producer Kaz Makita stated.

The FIFA World Cup attracts casual football fans all over the world and we are inviting them to try a free football game they can play at work or home and win the FIFA World Cup virtually.”
