Guild Wars 2 release date confirmed

NCsoft has confirmed that anticipated MMO Guild Wars 2 will be released in Europe and North America on August 28th.

We’re offering gamers an experience that delivers on the promise of online gaming with a truly social experience in an immense, shared world,” ArenaNet president and co-founder Mike O’Brien said.

After five years of creation, development, and polish, announcing the launch date ofGuild Wars 2is a huge milestone for us, but the thing we’re most looking forward to is seeing gamers from all over the globe explore this world and begin creating their own stories.”

As part of its preparations, ArenaNet is hosting a final Beta Weekend Event between July 20th and 22nd.
