HMV selling Dead Rising 2 early

Having just confirmed a large number of midnight openings for Tuesday’s Xbox 360 exclusive Halo Reach, HMV has confirmed a second games offensive – it is host the official UK launch of Capcom’s zombie sequel Dead Rising 2.

Furthermore, the retailer will also offer consumers a chance to buy the game ahead of its official UK release date of Friday September 24th.

Those attending the gathering at HMV’s flagship Oxford Street store in London will be able to buy the game between 17:00 and 20:00 on the evening of Thursday September 23rd.

The first 100 customers to grab the game will also receive a free goodie bag.

The recently released Dead Rising: Case Zero, a download only prequel-come-premium demo, shattered the week one Xbox Live Arcade sales record.
