PS4’s digital games prices will be adjusted before Friday launch

Sony has said that further alterations will be made to PS4 digital game pricing before the console’s official UK launch on Friday (November 29th).

EA in particular has come in for some stick for charging 59.99 (previously 62.99) for digital versions of its launch line-up, not least because that’s 5 more than the same games cost on Xbox Live for Xbox One.

"We have switched on the European PSN early to test and make sure that features and functionality are fully operational for launch," a Sony spokesperson told Eurogamer.

"However, as PS4 and PSN have not yet officially launched in this region, nothing on the PSN is final, including pricing on the store. You will continue to see some prices adjusted over the next few days in preparation for launch on Friday."

The spokesperson added that those who may have already paid out for software will be refunded the difference following any price reductions.
