Blitz Games Studios founders form new developer in Leamington Spa

Oliver twins open new studio Radiant Worlds

The new studio from former Blitz owners and founders Andrew and Philip Oliver is called Radiant Worlds, Develop can reveal.

Set up alongside ex-Blitz COO Richard Smithies, the Leamington Spa-based company has already recruited 50 staff, making it a significant new studio in the UK development scene.

Details of the company’s first projects, and what platforms they are targeting, are currently being kept under wraps.

Blitz Games Studios closed in September after 23 years in business. At the time, the Oliver twins said they had formed a new, then unnamed company, set up by senior management to take on two of the developer’s existing projects.

Radiant Worlds has been named in the latest Develop 100, which charts Europe’s hottest game start-ups, from developers to tech and services companies.
