Release date set for Street Fighter X Tekken

Publisher Capcom has announced that its IP-blending quasi-3D fighter Street Fighter X Tekken will be released in the UK on March 9th 2012.

It will be available for both PS3 and Xbox 360. The US release date is March 6th.

A new character for the title has also been confirmed – Street Fighter IV star Rufus.

Speaking at the New York Comic Con yesterday, Capcom also detailed some of the extras included in the Special Edition version of the game.

Undoubtedly the most ambitious of the inclusions in a Build-It-Yourself Arcade Cabinet bank. The other items are a UDON made prequel comic, 36 Gems for in-game use and an additional nine Gems for those who pre-order the game.

So far the SE has only been confirmed for North America.
