Seven Summits Studio’s ambient game Petite headed to Windows 8 in June

Seven Summits Studio’s ambient game, Petite, is set for release in June for Windows 8.

Petite was created by Asar Dhandala as an entry for Microsoft’s Dev Camps, for which the prototype was created within 12 hours. It was selected as the best game in that competition, following which it was also picked as one of the top 10 best games ‘UX Challenge’ of the Microsoft Imagine Cup.

Petite is an ambient game that revolves around the life of a woman, while focusing on several key incidents that happen along the way,”says Dhandala.

In every level, she’s in a new situation, having several ‘memory spherules’ revolve her. You let out different emotions and control them to stop the spherules, thereby unlocking a different memory snippet every time.”

Seven Summits Studio comprises of Dhandala and Prithvi Raj Pawar, who has provided original music for all of the studio’s games.

Petite also joins several other games from Indian indie developers that will be showcased at Casual Connect Asia next month, where it is also in the running for the Indie Prize.

Petite will be out in June for Windows 8, with iOS and Android versions set to follow a few weeks later.
