Sony embarks on ‘biggest PlayStation launch campaign in history’

It may already be sold out at most stores but Sony is still spending more money than ever has on promoting the PlayStation 4.

The blockbuster marketing campaign includes a multi-million pound in-store PlayStation rebrand.

Alongside the usual TV, cinema, outdoor, print and digital advertising, Sony has partnered up with Tinie Tempah to target casual players, while long-term fans were treated to a video taking in 18 years of the PlayStation brand.

The ‘For the Players Since 1995′ trailer has now been viewed over 10m times since it was released on October 21st.

This will be our largest, most ambitious launch campaign in PlayStation’s history,”?said SCE UK?marketing director Murray Pannell. We can’t wait to get PS4’s in people’s hands so they can experience the excitement for themselves.”
