Execs shuffle at HMV

Former HMV commercial director Gary Warren (picture, left) has become the new managing director of content and talent at the HMV-owned events-based MAMA Group.

Taking his place will be former supply chain director Steve Napleton (picture, right), who assumes the role of commercial director immediately. As well as his new role overseeing all areas of product, he retains his responsibilities in supply, customer services, e-commerce, digital and ticketing.

Reporting to him will be head of games Tim Ellis.

Both these appointments are of strategic importance to HMV and potentially of significant value to our suppliers and their artists,” CEO Simon Fox stated.

In taking on this exciting new role at MAMA, Gary can play a key part in bringing our live and retail businesses more closely together, with all the benefits and synergies this will create. Similarly, in combining HMV Product with e-commerce and digital, Steve now has the opportunity to develop a powerful commercial platform within the business that will further support our multi-channel aspirations.”
