Expanding Guillemot looks to UK

Following a rocketing year in 2006 in which it achieved 70 per cent growth, peripheral and hardware outfit Guillemot has its sights set on further expansion in the UK.

Guillemot is building successful product ranges and the UK market has become a top priority in order to achieve our objective of being in the top three companies in each European sector that we operate in by 2009,” said president and CEO Claude Guillemot.

Following the recent move of the UK facility, Vera Shah and Gerry Purcell will continue to head up regional marketing and sales. This very dedicated team will combine their efforts to create a strong momentum in the UK market,” continued CEO Guillemot.

Supporting the 10,000 square metre HQ in Brittany, Guillemot has recently opened another facility in the centre of Rennes, on top of opening or expanding offices in Madrid, London, Milan, Brussels, Nuremberg and New York.

The parent company of the Thrustmaster brand says it is poised for a 30 per cent growth in 2007.

Globally, Guillemot has restructured its operations to increase the size of its R&D and sales teams, and has taken on new recruits in executive positions. Former AMD sales director for Western Europe Christian Maby has joined Guillemot as commercial director, Agns Cornire has been made international marketing director, and Bruno Ormel becomes development and production director.
