Final Fantasy VII PC re-release heading to PS4 this winter

Square Enix has announced the PC port of Final Fantasy VII’s original Playstation release will arrive on PS4 this holiday season.

To clarify, the announcement doesn’t relate to the upcoming Final Fantasy VII remakerevealed at E3– that remains scheduled for a 2017 launch.

ThePC re-releasebrought about achievements, the ability to save your game anywhere using cloud technology, and the grind-reducing character booster. It’s expected these features will make the jump to PS4 as well, though perhaps it’s noteworthy that Square didn’t make specific mention of them.

No word on pricing yet, though you can currently get the PC version either direct from Square Enix’s website or on the Steam store for $12.
