First Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass DLC dated for June 30th

As well as announcing a slew of new titles for the Nintendo Switch today, Nintendo also announced when players will be able to get their hands on the first DLC pack for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Arriving on June 30th, the first part of Breath of the Wild’s Expansion Pass is entitled ‘Master Trials,’ and will see several new items added to the game as well as a brand new Master Sword trial.

If players manage to defeat all 45 rooms in the Trial of the Sword, the Master Sword will retain its powered-up state at all times, and won’t need charging up after extended use. A new Master Mode also offers new challenges, while the Hero’s Path mode tracks every step players take over the last 200 hours of gameplay, giving you clues about where you haven’t explored yet.

New armour will also be available, as well as a brand new Korok Mask to help players track down Korok seeds.

Nintendo also confirmed some new Amiibo figures, which will be arriving at a later date during the Holiday season in time for the arrival of the second DLC pack in the Expanion Pass. These take the form of Breath of the Wild’s four champions – Mipha, Urbosa, Revali and Daruk – around which the new DLC pack will focus. More details will be announced at a later date, but you can have a look at them below.
