Five Nights at Freddy’s RPG in the works for PC, Android and iOS

Scott Cawthon’s popular horror series Five Nights at Freddy’s is getting a fifth title, but it won’t be Five Nights at Freddy’s 5.

The game will instead be an RPG by the name of FNAF World, Cawthon revealed in a post on theFive Nights at Freddy’s 4 Steam community hub.

"It’s very important for me to say again that there will NOT be a Five Nights at Freddy’s 5. The story is complete, and the [Five Nights at Freddy’s 4] Halloween update and new game will not add to it,” Cawthon stated.

Cawthon added that he wished to do more with the franchise’s characters because they are so near and dear to my heart.”

A demo of the game is also in the works. Cawthon originally wanted to release it on Halloween, but that no longer seems feasible in his eyes.

"The bad news is that it’s unlikely that a demo will be ready for Halloween like I had hoped, since the game’s scope is significantly larger than previous games in the series.”

While the game doesn’t have a release window at this time, Cawthon did say it was in develoment for PC, Android and iOS. Afeature film based on the seriesis currently being produced by Warner Bros as well.
