Free Shadow of Mordor DLC offers playable female lead

Warner has released some free new DLC for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor that replaces Ranger Talion with a playable female lead.

The female in question is Lithariel, the Warrior Commander of the Tribesmen of Nurn and the daughter of Lady Marwen. Players can select the optional skin from the main menu.

Also added in the DLC is a new Challenge Mode that robs players of the ability to respawn or use their Wraith powers. If that sounds a bit tough, there’s instead a new Epic Rune that grants players an additional Last Chance when downed in combat.

The game is released on PS3 and Xbox 360 today, having already been released on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
