Friendware poised for expansion into Europe

Spanish publisher and distributor Friendware is to further push its operation into Europe – focusing on the UK.

The firm will spearhead the push with Euroleague Basketball Manager for the PC. The game, which will be release in Spain this Christmas, is intended for a January/February release across the rest of Europe – and the firm is currently in the process of looking for distributors to work within the UK.

We have opened last year an office in Mexico and from there we are covering now all the Spanish speaking countries of America,” said Luis Alarcon, director of Friendware.

From now our idea is to make more operations in the rest of Europe, and Euroleague Basketball Manager is the first step. We have not found an UK distributor yet, we are now in the process of looking for one.”

Euroleague Basketball Manager, developed by U-Play Studios, features competitions such as the ULEB Cup, the Euroleague and 32 other leagues running across Europe. It puts gamers in the position of team manager in charge of running every aspect of the club – including player training, negotiations with rival clubs, finance management and dispatching scouts to seek out new talent.
