GAME becomes first European retailer to sell Nintendo eShop codes

As of today GAME customers are able to buy Nintendo eShop download codes in store and online.

Codes will be available for both Wii U and 3DS titles and will be issued via a till receipt on the High Street or via email when purchased online. These codes can then be redeemed within the eShop.

This also opens up the possibility of gamers buying Nintendo download codes via the likes of PayPal, which is accepted by GAME online. Customers will also earn GAME Reward points on every eShop purchase.

High Street customers are currently being offered 25 per cent extra trade-in credit when swapping games for eShop codes.

We’re really excited about this partnership with Nintendo, as it makes it so much easier for gamers to access Nintendo digital content, not just in the UK but across Europe,” GAME category director Charlotte Knight stated.

We’re thrilled to be able to offer brand new Nintendo Wii U and 3DS releases as digital download from day one of release, and that starts today with Fire Emblem Awakening on 3DS.”
