GAME hosts Destiny early access tour

UK GAME stores will give those awaiting Destiny the chance to play Bungie’s online multiplayer shooter early.

27 GAME stores will host Destiny lock-ins from today (July 17th) until July 24th, letting players try out the PS4 edition of the title.

Each lock-in store will stay open for two additional hours on a select day during the next week, giving gamers who aren’t part of the Destiny beta, which also starts on the 17th, the chance to play.

GAME recently announced two exclusive versions of the game – Vanguard and Ghost.

Charlotte Knight, category director at GAME Retail said: Destiny is looking absolutely incredible and we’re delighted to be able to bring the beta to the gaming community for an exclusive in-store experience in conjunction with Activision.

There are so many gamers out there who just can’t wait to get their hands on Destiny and we’re able to give them the chance to do just that. Our lock-ins add that extra special touch and we have worked very closely with Activision to make bring both the lock-ins and our incredible exclusive Vanguard and Ghost editions to the gaming communities of the UK – only at GAME.”

Tickets are available in store and gamers must be 16 or over to attend. A team from PlayStation, which is hosting the events, will be present to talk through and showcase the game.
