GamesAid appoints new trustees

The UK video games charity for children and young people – GamesAid – has recruited industry veterans Ian Livingstone OBE and Caroline Miller as its new trustees.

Both will work alongside GamesAid chairman Andy Payne. He said: We are delighted to have Ian and Caroline on board as GamesAid trustees.

Both command enormous respect inside and outside our industry and their contributions will undoubtedly be invaluable over the coming months.”

Caroline Miller is co-founder of entertainment technology PR agency Indigo Pearl, and has previously held senior positions at Virgin Interactive and Crave Entertainment. Ian Livingstone is life president of Eidos, co-founder of Games Workshop, non-executive director of ELSPA and an advisor to the British Council.

GamesAid is a great, quantifiable success story of the games industry,” added Livingstone.

It’s something which everybody can take great pride in when seeing the money raised put to such good use.”

Caroline Miller said: It’s a real honour to be invited to work with GamesAid in this way. I have complete admiration for all that the charity has achieved.”

The pair join vice chair Sarah Seaby and other trustees including Sports Interactive’s Miles Jacobson.
