GamesAid tenner raises £6,371 at MCV Awards

Thanks to the generosity of the UK games industry, last week’s GamesAid Tenner at the MCV Awards raised an incredible 6,371.

Big thanks must go to Sony PlayStation, too, which matched every single 10 donated with a tenner of its own.

Gamesaid Tenner fund-raising during the MCV Awards has always been significant. It’s the single biggest event in the games industry’s diary and everyone donates a little to make a lot,” Gamesaid chairman Stuart Dinsey said last week.

PlayStation coming forward to double what is raised on the night is wonderfully generous. This demonstrates how leading brands are increasing their support for Gamesaid, which is all set for a record year.”

In 2013 GamesAid Tenner raised 3,296.

PlayStation dominated the MCV Awards 2014, collecting eight prizes including the prestigious Grand Prix. The full list of winners can be seen here.
