GAMESCOM: Microsoft’s ‘one more thing’ – Creative Assembly’s Halo Wars 2

Microsoft closed its Gamescom 2015 conference with a good old fashioned ‘one more thing’, this year, although it wasn’t what the preamble had led many to believe.

The announcement – in autumn 2016 Microsoft will release Halo Wars 2 on both Xbox One and PC. The surprise, however, is that the game is being made by strategy masters Creative Assembly.

Such was the build up to the reveal, and the re-introduction of 343 Industries, that Twitter had already presumed the announcement was going to confirm Halo 5 on PC.

Regardless, however, a Halo title from Creative Assembly is still nothing to be sniffed at and will certainly ensure the game generates plenty of interest.
