Gamescom press accreditation now open

Gamescom has announced that online accreditation for members of the press is now open for the event and will remain open until two weeks prior to the start of the show.

Members of the media will need to use the online accreditation portal to receive their ticket, although it may take up to 21 days to process each accreditation request. It should also be noted that the press ticket does not include a public transport ticket for the local public transport network.

Special rates for international flights to Cologne, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt are also available at www.gamescom-cologne.com in the Travel and Accommodation section.

As for accommodation, exhibitors, visitors and media are all able to use Koelnmesse’s hotel service to find a place to stay. Just visit the Travel and Accommodation section on the Gamescom website and select the ‘Overnight stay’ section to book your hotel online at the best available rate.

Tickets for Gamescom went online in March, with70 per cent of its early bird tickets already sold by the beginning of April.

Due to take place this August, Gamescom will run from Tuesday August 22nd to Saturday August 26th this year, with the biggest companies in the games industry all gathering to showcase their latest games. August 22nd will be for trade visitors and the mediaonly, while the show will open its doors to the public the following day.
