Gauntlet: Slayer Edition heading to PS4 in August

An upgraded version of Arrowhead’s Gauntlet reboot is heading to PlayStation 4 next month, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced.

Dubbed Gauntlet: Slayer Edition, the title will arrive for Sony’s current-gen hardware on August 11th for $19.99. The reboot initially launched last year on Windows PC, carrying the same price tag.

According to the PlayStation US Blog, the PS4 release will pack new modes, weapons, abilities, realms, monster types and more – such as more varied environments.

Pre-orders are available now, with an in-game item code for Mordok’s Screaming Hammer and Reaper’s Visage Helm for the Warrior provided to anyone who purchases ahead of release.

No word on if the console additions are planned for PC. Here’s a look at the Slayer Edition trailer:
