Gem offers helping hand to indies with Xbox 360 blitz promotion

Xbox’s official distributor Gem is offering 12 weeks of special promotions to independent retailers.

Running right through the Christmas period and into January, the Xbox 360 Blitz Campaign features a range of exclusive offers including ‘buy one get one frees’, spot prizes, free items with orders and a lot more.

The deals on offer will rotate between software, accessories and Xbox Live, followed by console and Kinect.

Gem in partnership with Microsoft, want to build a programme of promotional activity that rewards the independent accounts for buying from the only approved Xbox distribution company,” said Gem’s divisional business manager Jon Sutherland.

We feel Paul and his team have created a comprehensive plan to deliver a market leading promotional campaign to excite the independent channel and allow them to compete in what is an extremely competitive time for retail. Over the coming weeks we will focus on accessories, Xbox LIVE, first party software and of course the Xbox 360 and Kinect, we will also be looking to roll out an exclusive rewards programme to incentivise our Indies.

Paul Langley, Divisional Manager for Xbox adds: Our customers have really felt the effects of the economic downturn over the past 12 months so it’s great to be able to give something back for their loyalty. The Gem Xbox campaign will offer exclusive promotions, giveaways and freebies on Xbox 360 consoles, software, accessories and Xbox LIVE over the next 2 months, none of which would be possible without the support of Microsoft”
