Gizmondo: The Film

We’re still waiting for Carl Freer’s delayed re-launch of cult handheld device Gizmondo, but fans of the portable can take cheer in news that the now legendary saga behind the machine is set to hit the big screen.

Hollywood Reporter claims that Contrafilm has agreed a deal with writer-director Craig Zobel and producer Beau Flynn to make a movie based on an article that appeared in Wired magazine entitled ‘Gizmondo’s Spectacular Crack-up’.

Events depicted will include the launch of device and Stefan Eriksson’s subsequent crash and burn, which has included misdemeanours such as fraud, extortion, embezzlement, theft and kidnapping.
