Glen Johnson thanks Champ Man

Much like his PlayStation-loving team mate Fernando Torres, Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson has become the latest sports star to confess his love for gaming – more specifically, Eidos’ Championship Manager.

As well as keeping him sane during his ongoing spell on the sidelines due to injury, the game has also allowed him to fulfil his main ambition – winning silverware with Liverpool.

I’m sick of TV now – when you’re confined to the couch you’ll look at anything,” the star told The Daily Mail.

Thankfully Championship Manager got me through that time too. I won everything with Liverpool.”

Who said games were lifelike?
