GOG introduces Wallet payment system

Shoppers are now able to deposit funds into a GOG-specific system, thanks to a new service from the digital games store.

GOG Wallet, according to owner CD Projekt, is a highly-requested quality-of-life feature aimed at gamers who frequently face international bank fees, use pre-paid debit cards, or prefer the extra convenience and control over their budget”.

Wallet funds can be topped up however you like. Furthermore, credit earned via GOG’s Fair Price Package, which refunds any price difference should a game cost more in your region than in the US, are automatically added to the Wallet.

CD Projekt recently reported Q2 revenues of $82m and net profits of $35m – of that, $17m was contributed by GOG/ The company is now worth over $1bn.
