Gran Turismo 5 to miss 2009

Hopes that Sony’s long-awaited next-gen racer Gran Turismo 5 would arrive at retail in time for Christmas appear to have been scuppered by the news that it will be released in Japan in March 2010.

An earlier release in either North America or Europe is not yet completely out of the question – though the chance does now seem highly unlikely.

Fans of the series will still be able to grab a fresh piece of GT action, however, with the release of the plainly titled Gran Turismo still on track for October 1st.
