Gran Turismo PSP not forgotten

In an interview with

GamePro

, the lead producer of the Gran Turismo series Kazunori Yamauchi has said that the long-awaited PSP incarnation of the racing franchise is still on the cards, but that it is taking a back seat to the upcoming PS3 instalment.

Gran Turismo 5 is expected to arrive next year on PS3, and will at long last feature online play. Its release will be preceded by Gran Turismo 5 prologue – a model that was first formed in the build up to the release of Gran Turismo 4 on PS2.

However, when asked if the team was still interested in the PSP version Yamauchi stated: Probably after Gran Turismo 5. We are working on it, and will get around to it eventually.”
