Hip Hip for Ray

Industry veterans have paid tribute to UK PlayStation boss Ray Maguire who left the firm last week.

He has departed Sony Computer Entertainment UK having worked there for 17 years. Maguire has helped launch PSone, PS2, PS3 and PSP in the country during his time at the platform holder.

Maguire’s legacy at Sony goes beyond launching and establishing the PlayStation brand. He has also developed initiatives for GamesAid, was a keen supporter of BAFTA and even pushed to get PlayStations and PSPs used in schools as learning tools.

Wherever Ray Maguire ends up next, he’ll certainly be missed from the halls of SCE UK.
