Hipster Whale joins $500,000 funding for Halfbrick veterans’ start-up

The duo behind Crossy Road studio Hipster Whale has helped to fund a new developer in Australia.

Prettygreat has completed an early stage round of seed funding to the tune of $500,000, with key investors including Matt Hall and Andy Sum.

The new studio was founded in February by three former Halfbrick employees, including Phil Larsen, Hugh Walters and Fruit Ninja creaotr Luke Muscat.

The trio will use the funding to create and release multiple mobile titles, the first of which is due this year. Hall and Sum, meanwhile, will become shareholders and advisors for Prettygreat.
