Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy game on the way

A brand new game based on The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is in development.

The small amount of information available can be found on the official website. It is being developed by Hothead Games, which is the team behind RPG title Deathspank and the Penny Arcade Adventures.

There’s no word yet on which platforms it will appear on or when it will be released.

"Megadodo Publications welcomes you to this new edition of the Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy," the brief blurb reads.

"We have updated The Guide’s content to provide compatibility with such quaint locations as Earth. It will soon be available for all the latest primitive devices on your planet."

A text-based adventure game based on the licence was released in the early ’80s while two mobile games were released last decade to accompany the release of the 2005 Touchstone pictures film.
