Homeworld sets course for THQ

Revered PC franchise Homeworld has made the jump to THQ, following the US publisher’s move to secure the rights to the series.

Next-Gen reports that the deal follows in the footsteps of THQ’s 2004 purchase of Homeworld and Homeworld 2 developer Relic, a studio that has since worked on Company of Heroes and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War for the publisher.

"THQ currently owns Relic, which in turn means that we now have the rights to the Homeworld brand. However, at this time we have no comment on any future games from THQ based on Homeworld,” a THQ spokesperson stated.

The previous Homeworld games were published by Vivendi label Sierra Games.
