Hot Pursuit demo reaches 2m downloads

The Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit demo has been downloaded 2m times in just two weeks, EA confirmed today.

Players clocked up more than 54m miles of road racing and over 20m successful police busts from the day the demo arrived on October 26th to November 9th.

During the course of the two weeks, friends played more than 5m Autolog matches online – which is Hot Pursuit’s social network-style system – and 700,000 posts were made on the in-game ‘Speed Wall’.

The news comes following a string of positive reviews for Hot Pursuit, making it the highest-rated Need for Speed game ever.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit goes on sale in the UK on November 19th for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC.
