Hungama, Gameshastra launch John Abraham: Drag Racer for iOS, Android

In what is perhaps the first Indian game to be named after a celebrity, Hungama and Gameshastra have just released John Abraham: Drag Racer for iOS and Android.

Featuring the name and likeness of actor John Abraham, the game supposedly ‘accentuates John’s passion for speed and his love for bikes’.

The free-to-play drag racing game puts players in Abraham’s shoes through ten stages, from Stock Rookie to Top Dragster. Each stage, in turn, comprises of ten difficulty levels that are progressively unlocked.

Gameplay, as the press release puts it, revoled around ‘Race, Earn, Shop, Upgrade, Repeat’. As you play, more bikes are unlocked, each varying in power to weight ratio, acceleration, road grip and control.

Bikes can further be upgraded with better engines, transmission, nitrogen oxide systems, wheels and frames. You can also unlock clothes and accessories for your character.

John Abraham: Drag Racer is out now on the App Store and Google Play.
