Keza MacDonald has joined IGN UK as games editor.

She will start on Monday, June 13th and report to UK editor-in-chief Alex Simmons.

MacDonald is a highly experienced games journalist, having written for The Observer, Edge, Eurogamer, Official Nintendo and VG247. She has also acted as a consultant for ad agencies and publishers, including Nintendo.

In her new role, she will help shape IGN’s editorial and work closely with publishers and developers.

I’m delighted that Keza is joining IGN," said IGN editor-in-chief Alex Simmons.

"Her work has always been popular with our audience and her contacts book is a who’s who” of the games industry. As one of the UK’s most prolific young games writers, Keza’s work appeals to a wide range of gamers and is perfectly suited to the increasingly diverse environments we now position our content, from IGN.com to YouTube, on mobile, on console and live events.”

MacDonald added: "What attracted me to IGN was the opportunity to help define a strong mainstream voice for gamers across the world. With the largest global audience of any games site, IGN is the best place for me to do so, and I’m really looking forward to joining the team."
