IGN PS4 app available for free from Friday

IGN’s continued attempts to dominate the games media continues this week with the launch of its PS4 app.

The app will launch across 20 countries and will feature everything you’d expect, such as news, previews and reviews.

It is being created by IGN parent Ziff Davis and will also arrive on PS3 and PlayStation Vita.

It joins the likes of BBC iPlayer, Netflix and LoveFilm.

Geoff Inns, Managing Director and VP, Ziff Davis International, said: We’re excited to bring the new IGN app to PlayStation 4 at launch. The console made a massive impression with IGN’s community of passionate gamers and our app will be the best way to keep up with the biggest gaming news on the PlayStation 4. Across our portfolio we aim to make our content available on multiple platforms and being able to reach gamers on their console is an attractive proposition for our clients.”
