IGN reveals new Senior VP and MD

Former MySpace commercial operations exec Chris Ellis has been revealed as IGN Entertainment’s international new senior vice president and managing director.

Ellis takes charge of IGN Entertainment’s non-US operations, including ket sites such as IGN, Rotten Tomatoes and AskMen.

I’m excited about building on these accomplishments,” Ellis stated. There’s a job to be done ensuring that our breadth and reach outside of the United States is recognised in the industry. I’m here to make sure that our achievements in terms of user numbers and quality local content are mirrored in our commercial success.”

Ellis has also worked for leading tech firms such as Fox Interactive and AOL Europe.
