Microsoft celebrated the launch of Gears of War: Judgment in Mumbai last night.

The launch event was held at South Mumbai’s Canvas lounge, with mediapersons and trade representatives in attendance.

Gears of War: Judgment is one of those games that we were very excited about,” said Anshu Mor, category head for Microsoft India’s Interactive Entertainment Business division.

We get a sense of what is happening on the game through preorders. We’ve got great support on preorders from many of our big retailers. The sense we got is that this could be the biggest game of this fiscal for us,” Mor added.

That’s quite a telling bit of information, considering the fiscal from July 2012 to June 2013 that Mor refers too also included the releases of Halo 4 and Forza Horizon.

That retailer support was in evidence last night as retailers Game4u and Games The Shop held midnight launches for Judgment.

Here are some images from last night’s event.
