Insomniac: EA ‘helps us reach more gamers

Insomniac Games has today announced a new deal with EA Partners and says that the agreement is all part of a new bid to reach a wider audience.

The deal will see the studio responsible for Ratchet & Clank and Resistance: Fall of Man develop its first multiplatform project. Until now all of its games have been for PlayStation, PS2 or PS3.

Widening to include Xbox 360 will give it access to a wider audience of gamers, Insomniac CEO Ted Price told Develop.

Our goal was to be multiplatform on this title from the beginning,” he said. We will continue to make games for Sony, but we want to reach more gamers. And the relationship with EAP allows us to do that.”

Develop has the full story.
