Interceptor acquires 3D Realms

Danish indie developer Interceptor Entertainment has acquired 3D Realms, according to its CEO.

Frederik Schreiber confirmed the deal on Twitter, adding that further details will be shared today.

This follows last week’s news of a legal tussle between Gearbox and Interceptor/3D Realms over the latter’s announcement of a new Duke Nukem game – despite Gearbox’s acquisition of the IP.

Interceptor’s previous titles include Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded and Rise of the Triad.
