iPhone 6s and 6s Plus once again break Apple sales records

Apple’s latest smartphone has, once again, broken sales records for the company.

It has been announced that between them the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus sold 13m units in their first three days on sale.

This betters the 10m sold by their predecessors the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s in their first three days last year. In 2013 the iPhone 5C and 5S sold 9m in the same period while in 2012 the iPhone 5 sold 5m.

Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history,” CEO Tim Cook said. Customers’ feedback is incredible.”

Both devices will arrive in an additional 40 countries on October 9th, including Italy, Mexico, Russia, Spain and Taiwan. By the end of the year Apple intends for them to be available in 130 countries.
