JAPAN: WiiMote Plus dated

Nintendo has confirmed that it will launch the WiiMote Plus at Japanese retail on November 11th.

The new controller looks much like the current design, but integrates the until now additional Motion Plus technology that greatly increases the accuracy of the device.

Andriasang reports that the controller will launch in five colours – white, black, blue, pink and red. It will cost 3,800 (29), which is the same price as the current design retails for.

From the same date Nintendo will also replace old controllers with the new model in all hardware packs, including in SKUs such as Wii Sports Resort and the console bundle.

There’s no word yet on a UK launch date for the WiiMote Plus.
