Konami officially looking into MGS4 on 360

Japanese publisher Konami has for the first time officially hinted that it is considering bringing Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to Xbox 360.

Speaking to Japanese financial news service Morningstar, Konami’s Yoshitaka Arai stated: The worldwide demand for an Xbox 360 version of MGS4 is quite high, and it is something we are currently looking in to.”

The Metal Gear Solid series is famously one of PlayStation’s most high profile exclusives, though Konami did eventually port MGS2 to the original Xbox. And PlayStation has not always been the exclusive home of the series, with Solid Snake debuting on the ill-fated MSX home computer before moving on to Nintendo’s NES.

When it was revealed earlier this year that fellow PlayStation loyalist Final Fantasy XIII is to release on Xbox 360 as well as PS3, rumours soon turned to a possible of port of Konami’s stealth romp. However, Sony has previously moved to dismiss these claims.
