LittleBigPlanet Karting confirmed by Sony

Sony has confirmed rumoured new PS3 title LittleBigPlanet Karting.

The game is being co-developed by ModNation Racers dev United Front Games, which is currently also working on Square Enix’s Sleeping Dogs – the title formerly known as True Crime: Hong Kong.

LittleBigPlanet dev Media Molecule is also working on the title.

The new game sees Sackboy and Sackgirl pick up their platforming predecessor’s ‘Play, Create, Share’ ethos and will feature a wealth of customisation options. As well as custom characters, vehicles and tracks, users will also be able to tweak the rules and constraints that control the game.

Split-screen and online multiplayer will also be included.

LittleBigPlanet Karting is due out on PS3 at some stage in 2012.
