MAG giveaway for PSN Plus players

Sony is giving away multiplayer shooter MAG to subscribers of the premium PSN Plus service from today.

PS3 owners can download the game and access all of its modes as long as they’re signed up to PSN Plus – which costs 11.99 for 90 days or 39.99 for a year.

However, the free download only allows players to develop their character to level eight. To go beyond this they will have to buy the full game which costs $29.99 to download.

Any additional XP a player earns while playing for free will be stored until the full game is purchased.

MAG is also compatible with PlayStation Move and allows up to 256 players to take part in a large-scale war. It went on sale in January this year.

PSN Plus is Sony’s paid-for online gaming service that gives subscribers access to early DLC, games, beta tests and other extras.
