Major publishers set for MCM Expo

At least eight big games publishers will exhibit at MCM Expo next month.

Nintendo, Capcom, Warner Bros, THQ, Square Enix, Tecmo Koei, PQube and Atari will be attending with more to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Capcom’s recently announced Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition will also get its European debut at the show.

The MCM Expo takes place from Friday, May 27th to Sunday, May 29th at London’s ExCeL.

The bi-annual consumer entertainment event will have a mix of the latest movies, games, anime, manga and comics on show.

GameSpot UK will be hosting the MCM Games Stage with developer and publisher panels and live podcasts direct from the show. The expo will also be attempting to retake its world record for the largest handheld video games party.

MCM Expo co-organiser Bryan Cooney told MCV: We are aiming to break the existing record by 500.

Details for the games line-up tend to come in closer to the show but we do know we will have the European debut of Capcom’s new Street Fighter.”

The news comes after advance ticket sales reached a record 15,000. Event organisers expect to draw an all-time high of 60,000 visitors – 10,000 more than the October show.
