Mario Gold Amiibos selling for bucket loads on eBay

The Walmart-only Gold Mario Amiibo is selling for over seven times its RRP on eBay.

The SKU was discovered on Nintendo’s website earlier this month and was this week confirmed as a Walmart-exclusive in the US.

The $12.96 figure is reportedly already sold out across the country, with a large number of buyers immediately turning to eBay to flog the sought after figure.

Completed listings are typically selling at between $60 and $80, although there is one completed sale at $100.

It’s still possible the pre-order the figure at Walmart, where it has a shipping date of March 20th. Kotaku says the SKU sold out in around 15 minutes.

It’s not the first time consumers have scrambled for hard-to-find Amiibos. Indeed, some rare defective examples have sold for thousands of dollars.
