Mario & Sonic Olympics out November

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games will hit UK shelves on Wii this November.

Sega confirmed the latest party game will be out in time for Christmas, while a 3DS version will be released in February 2012.

In addition to this, a separate game, London 2012 – The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games, will arrive at retail sometime next year.

The Mario & Sonic Olympic game series has sold more than 19m copies to date. The latest title is being developed by Sega Japan and will be published by Sega Europe. It is licensed through the International Olympic Committee’s entertainment licensee International Sports Multimedia (ISM).

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games will feature football, equestrian, athletics, aquatics and table tennis mini-games. It will also include a number of ‘Dream Events’ that will take place in the worlds of both Nintendo and Sega mascots.
